What is the policy for attending this meeting?

The target audiences for this conference are: dental educators, practitioners, health researchers, policymakers and business leaders in the health sector worldwide. ADEA members and non-members are invited to attend. A user name and password are required for online registration. Complete the online form to create a user name and password, then select “submit” and you will be returned to the registration process to complete online registration.

What is the "guest" policy for attending this meeting?

Meeting registrants are allowed to bring one adult guest (18 years or older). A guest is a spouse, partner, friend, or an adult child who is not in a dentistry-related occupation. Co-workers or associates in dental education who will attend educational and professional programming may not use the guest registration category. At events where alcohol is served, no one under the age of 18 is permitted. The cost for a guest is $75. The guest fee includes the Sunday evening reception and the City Hall Tour on Monday.

There is a separate fee for Tuesday’s optional tour to the Sagrada Familia following the end of the conference.


How do I make a hotel reservation?

Room reservations can be made through the hotel reservation link on the ADEA website or by calling +34.93.261.80.00 (U.S. callers dial 011.34.93.261.80.00) and asking for the ADEA rate. The deadline for all reservations is Monday, August 18, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. CET Barcelona time, which is equivalent to 11:00 a.m. Eastern time. The hotel rates and room availability are not guaranteed for reservations made after Monday, August 11, 2014.

The hotel room rate is 155 EURO + 10% VAT = 170.50 EUR (single) and 185 EURO +10% VAT= 203.50 EUR (double) per room, per night. Local taxes will be added at check-in. VAT is subject to change. Buffet breakfast is included in the room cost and will be available at the Palmer Restaurant, on the 14th floor.

All reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card. A deposit of one night’s stay is required to hold individual reservations.


What are the hotel’s check-in and checkout times?

Hotel check-in is 3:00 p.m. (or earlier as rooms become available). Checkout time is noon.


How do I cancel my hotel reservation?

To cancel your individual hotel reservation, please contact the Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel. You may contact the reservations department by calling +34.93.261.80.00 (dial 011.34.93.261.80.00 from the U.S.). You may cancel your room without penalty up to 7 days prior to your reserved arrival.


What if I have to cancel my conference registration?

ADEA must receive your meeting cancellation in writing (telephone cancellations are not acceptable) on or before August 18, 2014. A $50 processing fee will be deducted from all refunds, which will be issued after the meeting has concluded. Any cancellation received after August 11, 2014 will not be eligible for refund or credit. Email cancellation requests to Renee Latimer at LatimerR@adea.org. Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events, or early departure.


What if I want to arrive early or stay after the conference?

If the hotel has available rooms, conference participants may extend their reservations.


Which is the closest airport to the conference site?

The Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel is located 6.2 miles (approximately a 15 minute drive) from Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCN), the recommended airport for this meeting.


How do I get to and from the airport?

The Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel does not offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the hotel. Please request a taxi, estimated taxi fare: 25 EUR (one-way).


What documents do I need to enter in Spain?

Travelers outside of Spain should check with their local embassy for required documentation to enter Barcelona, Spain.

If you currently do not have a passport, you should plan to obtain one. Do not wait until the last minute, as passports can take up to 90 days to be processed. U.S. travelers should visit U.S. Department of State for instructions on how to obtain a passport.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

Continuing education (CE) credit is awarded for overall conference attendance at the 5th International Women’s Leadership Conference, not for individual session attendance. Please refer to the detailed information provided in the printed program.

To receive CE credit, please complete the evaluation process for all eligible attended sessions. Education session evaluations will be emailed to attendees on or before September 23, 2014. CE Verification Forms will be emailed in late October 2014 to those individuals who complete the evaluation process on or before the deadline indicated on the evaluation.
