Scholarships, Awards and Fellowships for Dental Educators


The deadline for submitting applications for most ADEA scholarships, fellowships and awards is November 1, 2016. 


Predoctoral and Advanced Dental Educators

ADEA/Colgate-Palmolive Co. Excellence in Teaching Award
This $2,500 award is designed to enhance the teaching efforts of an educator who demonstrates exemplary standards and promotes excellence in dental education through scholarship and innovation.


ADEA Enid A. Neidle Scholar-in-Residence Program
A stipend of up to $15,000 will be awarded to provide the opportunity for a dental educator to pursue a cumulative two to three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, DC, researching issues affecting women faculty.


Dental Educators and Allied Dental Educators

ADEA/AAL Faculty of Color Tuition Scholarships for Professional Development:


ADEA/ADEAGies Foundation Education Fellowship 
A stipend of up to $15,000 will be awarded in 2017 for a dental educator to pursue a cumulative two to three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, DC, researching educational issues facing dental education.

  
ADEA/ADEA Council of Students, Residents, and Fellows/Colgate-Palmolive Co. Junior Faculty Award 
This $2,500 award is designed to be used to enhance an outstanding junior faculty members's teaching, research or service efforts.


ADEA/Colgate-Palmolive Co. Allied Dental Educators Fellowship
 
During odd years (2017, 2019, 2021…), two allied dental faculty members will be awarded fellowships of $2,000 for tuition, travel and fees associated with the ADEA Allied Dental Faculty Leadership Development Program. During even years (2018, 2020, 2022…), one allied dental educator will be awarded a stipend of $4,000 to pursue a cumulative three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, D.C., focusing on issues affecting allied dental education.


ADEA Leadership Institute Phase V Leadership Development Tuition Scholarships


ADEA/Sunstar Americas, Inc./Harry W. Bruce, Jr. Legislative Fellowship Award 
A stipend of up to $15,000 will be awarded to provide the opportunity for a dental educator to pursue a cumulative two to three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, DC, working on issues related to the legislative agenda.
