The position is for an Assistant Professor, Clinical Track, which participates in the Program for Academic Career Development in Community Service Settings with Student Loan Repayment (funded by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the University of Utah School of Dentistry). <br /><br />Selected individuals will participate with the School of Dentistry in meeting the objectives of HRSA Grant No. T93HP30398 to (a) provide dental care in diverse, community-based primary care settings, (b) develop cooperative dental care management strategies, (c) leverage integrated patient health records to assess and study patient outcomes, and (d) participate in the School’s faculty development program in primary care and develop modules to train other faculty members, residents, and students. <br /><br />For the first five years of their appointment and support under the program, selected individuals will provide clinical dental care in community settings associated with the School for one half of their working time (.50 FTE).
