2013 ADEA Allied Dental Faculty Leadership Development Program

For more than a decade, ADEA has addressed leadership development through educational programming, with the goal of preparing promising faculty for leadership positions in dental and higher education. ADEA began offering leadership development programming specifically for allied dental educators in June 2002.

The ADEA Allied Dental Faculty Leadership Development Program (ADFLDP) is for allied dental faculty members who want to assume more administrative and leadership responsibilities, or allied dental program directors who would like leadership education. It imparts fundamental knowledge of key leadership principles and practices as they relate to leadership in allied dental education.

Plus, participants develop a one-year professional development plan.

What should be expect at ADEA ADFLDP?

The interactive program involves self and peer-assessment exercises as well as readings to be completed prior to attending. Case studies augment some topics. Participants should expect an intense schedule with assignments to be completed in the evenings. Individual coaching sessions will be scheduled throughout the program.
