ADEA, American Dental Education Association

 Policy Research and Recommendations

The policy research and recommendations of the American Dental Education Association come from the joint efforts of the ADEA Institute for Policy and Advocacy (ADEA IPA). The IPA was established by the ADEA Board of Directors in March 2002.

The Institute function as the Association’s centralized resource for the formulation of educational and public policy analysis, policy dissemination, and policy implementation.

It accomplishes this purpose by formulating a unified agenda that is:

  • informed by members on ADEA’s Advisory Committees that create opportunities for leadership development
  • directed by the ADEA Board of Directors
  • pursued collaboratively by ADEA’s Centers for Equity and Diversity (ADEA CED), Educational Policy and Research (ADEA CEPR), and Public Policy and Advocacy (ADEA CPPA), and supported broadly by other divisions within the ADEA office
