The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) have formed a partnership that will allow MedEdPORTAL to expand its medical education collection to include dental education resources.

MedEdPORTAL is a free online international publication venue where educators in the health professions may publish and share educational resources. Published resources are available to educators, administrators, students, and the general public around the globe.

Nadeem Karimbux, D.M.D., M.M.Sc., is Associate Editor of the MedEdPORTAL representing ADEA.  Dr. Karimbux is Assistant Dean of Dental Education and Associate Professor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM). He has over 12 years experience as an editor for medical and dental journals, and is nationally recognized for his innovative work with the Problem-Based Learning curriculum at HSDM.  To read the press release, click here.
 

Dental Educator Among 2009 MedEdPORTAL Outstanding Reviewer Award Recipients 

During the 2009 Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Annual Meeting the MedEdPORTAL team announced the recipients of the annual Outstanding Reviewer Award. MedEdPORTAL reviewers and the peer review process serve as important quality gatekeepers for MedEdPORTAL publications. While often unrecognized, the critical appraisal of submissions by reviewers is vital to the success of peer-reviewed publications such as MedEdPORTAL.
