The University of Iowa College of Dentistry is
searching for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the Iowa Institute
for Oral Health Research. Available July
Must have: PhD in Biostatistics, or PhD in
Statistics w/significant emphasis in biomedical applications, related post-doc
training preferred; track record or productive independent/collaborative
research; track record of effective conduct of research as part of
multidisciplinary team; evidence of effective teaching; effective biostatistics
consulting skills; experience working effectively in diverse environment;
excellent written/verbal communication skills; and effective interpersonal
Desirable experience: participating in externally-funded grant
projects; teaching health science student biostatistics and research design;
mentoring student research; analysis of high-dimensional data; and statistical
genetic analysis/analysis of data from genetic epidemiology investigations. Other desirables: strong record of scientific publication/presentation at professional
meetings; and knowledge of dental nomenclature/classification. Academic
rank/salary commensurate with qualifications/experience.
