Clinical Assistant Professor, Division of Dental Hygiene

The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry is now accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month clinical track faculty position in the Division of Dental Hygiene. The position is in the School of Dentistry which houses a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene program and a Master of Science in Dental Hygiene program as well as a Master of Dental Therapy program. The University of Minnesota is a major research institution and the state’s land-grant university. It comprises four campuses throughout the state, the Twin Cities being the largest. The Academic Health Center offers an optimal setting for pursuing a career in the field of healthcare. Students who come to the University choose from nationally recognized programs. Responsibilities include didactic, laboratory, pre-clinical and clinical instruction to dental, dental hygiene and dental therapy students. The curriculae prioritizes a team–based care delivery model and all students participate in multiple community-based clinical practice setting. Additional responsibilities include committee assignments and service.

Required Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Dental Hygiene, Education, or a related field is required. The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program, be eligible for Minnesota licensure and clinical practice experience. Candidates must meet the technical standards and essential functions of the position.

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to demonstrated leadership skills, didactic teaching experience, demonstrated scholarship, and clinical experience teaching dental hygiene and dental students; minimum of three to five years clinical dental hygiene practice.
