Tufts University School of Dental Medicine seeks candidates for the position of Chair of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. The department encompasses both predoctoral and postgraduate pediatrics. The successful candidate will have demonstrated vision, excellence and experience in academic leadership including the areas of curriculum management and development, management of faculty and staff, mentoring of students and junior faculty, substantive and diversified research and scholarship, clinical and didactic teaching of predoctoral and postgraduate students, public health/community outreach and communication skills.
Requirements include a DDS or DMD degree (or equivalent) and an advanced education certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from an ADA-accredited school. Board certification by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is preferred as is research training (M.S. and/or Ph.D.). This is a full-time tenure-track position. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. An opportunity for private practice exists.
