What is the registration fee to attend the meeting?

The 2014 ADEA Deans’ Conference is open to all deans’ and a representative selected by the dean from the same institution. A registration fee is not collected for this conference. All registrations must be made on or before October 14, 2014.

How do I reserve my room?

Hotel reservations may be made online or by calling 1-800-815-6397. The deadline for all reservations is Tuesday, October 14, 2014 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The ADEA room rate is available for accommodations on the nights of November 14 through November 18, 2014. 

Unfortunately, the hotel cannot guarantee availability of the conference rates or rooms before or after the November 14–18, 2014 dates. We suggest that you make your reservations early; guest room availability is subject to availability.  A credit card is required to guarantee reservations.

 

What is the ADEA group rate?

The room rate is $179 single or double occupancy room, plus applicable taxes.  

 

What is the hotel checkin and checkout time?

Checkin time is 4:00 p.m. or earlier as rooms become available. Checkout time is noon.

 

What is the deadline to make hotel reservations?

Hotel reservations should be made on or before October 14, 2014.

 

What is the reservation cancellation policy?

Reservations may be cancelled up to 72 hours prior to the reserved arrival date at no charge.  Cancellations made after 72 hours prior to the arrival date will be charged one night’s room rate plus applicable tax.

 

What airport should I fly into?

San Diego International Airport (SAN) is the nearest airport, which is approximately 20 minutes travel time from the hotel.

 

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

The airport (SAN) provides shuttle services and taxi options to and from the airport. The San Diego International Airport offers additional detailed information on its web page.

   

What is the guest rate for parking at Loews Coronado Bay Hotel?

Parking on the property is $25 for all hotel guests.

   

Will CE credits be given for the ADEA Deans’ Conference?

ADEA will email a conference participant evaluation to you shortly after the close of the conference. If you would like to earn continuing education (CE) credits for your participation in the 2014 ADEA Deans’ Conference, then please complete the online evaluation in full on or before Friday, December 12, 2014. After fully completing the evaluation, you will have the option to immediately print and save your CE Verification Form. Please remember to check your email inbox and your spam folder for a message from ADEA regarding the participant evaluation and CE Verification Letter.

   

What should I wear?

Attire for the meeting is business casual.

If I have a child under the age of 18 with me, what must I know?

ADEA does not allow children to attend any conference functions. If children accompany a participant to the conference, arrangements should be made for their supervision.
