Dr. Eugene L. Anderson, Associate Executive Director and Director, ADEA Center for Educational Policy and Research
In this edition of the ADEA CCI Liaison Ledger, we share some lessons learned by experienced users of eteaching technologies and take a look at their potential moving forward. We visit the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Dental Branch (UTDB), where a broad range of technologies has become an integral part of the educational landscape. We also take a sneak peek at the state-of-the-art facility currently under construction at UTDB. In our Educator Spotlight, we meet Dr. Amul H. Singh, who has been offering a course in histopathology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry from his office in Indianapolis, Indiana. Finally, our Guest Perspective offers three viewpoints as this month’s author, Dr. Ann McCann, reflects on her use of etechnology as a professor, an administrator, and a student.
Links to JDE articles and to the sites mentioned in this edition’s stories are available under Resources. We hope you will use these to investigate how eteaching technologies can enhance teaching and learning on your campus.
