The ADEA Institutional Capacity Building portfolio continues to work with academic dental institutions and other health profession organizations in identifying evidence-based practices for implementing interprofessional education (IPE) for students and to drive innovation on campuses through its Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) Faculty Development Institutes.

At the 2014 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition, Dr. Michael Friendlander will explore the many different ways students learn and present experimental neuroscientific evidence in his session “The Neuroscience of Types of Learning.”

The ADEA Commission on Change and Innovation in Dental Education (ADEA CCI) College President’s Symposium will feature excellent presentations by college presidents from a diverse set of institutions that range from the University of Maryland, College Park to Valencia College.

The Institute for Allied Health Educators (IAHE) is excited to announce an additional course, Revitalizing Curriculum and Faculty, to begin in October 2014. Topic sessions for this fall 2014 course include creating a flipped classroom, faculty calibration, curriculum design and management, faculty motivation and designing hybrid courses.
