August 5th marked the 17th anniversary of the Children’s Health Insurance Program. CHIP is administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and provides matching funds to states for health insurance to families with children.

The U.S. Department of Education has proposed measures for determining whether certain postsecondary educational programs prepare students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation, as well as the conditions under which these programs remain eligible to receive funds under federal student aid programs.

Members of the ADEA Advocacy and Government Relations (AGR) portfolio attended several important Congressional hearings in April. On April 9, the Senate Subcommittee on Primary Care and Aging under the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) discussed “Addressing Primary Care Access and Workforce Challenges: Voices from the Field.”
