The 2018 National Sex and Gender Health Education (SGHE) Summit will take place on April 8–10 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. Building on the 2015 Mayo Sex and Gender Medical Education Summit, the 2018 Summit will host health care education professionals from many disciplines with a focus on integrating sex and gender through interprofessional education and competency-based education.

The 2018 SGHE Summit will welcome 300 health professionals across many disciplines to Salt Lake City for a two and a half-day educational conference focusing on the integration of biological (sex) and social evidence (gender)—both of which impact the health of men, women, boys and girls. The central focus of the summit will be on the integration of sex and gender through IPE models as well as multidisciplinary approaches to competency-based education.

The Summit will provide a travel stipend for one designated institutional representative from each of the following disciplines: medicine, nursing, dentistry, allied health, pharmacy and public health.

Travel support will cover summit registration, two hotel nights and most meals (totaling approximately $900 in expenses).

A limited number of stipends are available. Apply here
