The ADEA/AAL Institute for Teaching and Learning (ADEA/AAL ITL) has earned a reputation as dental education’s most comprehensive teacher training program. More than 400 dental and dental hygiene faculty, and private practitioners transitioning to academic careers have participated in the ADEA/AAL ITL since 2006.
Participants learn the skills of a master teacher, earn 50 hours of continuing education credit across two phases and receive a certificate of completion from ADEA and AAL. ADEA/AAL ITL alumni are eligible to earn a Master’s Degree in Dental Education, awarded by the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. The ADEA/AAL ITL is essential for new faculty and inspires mid-career faculty to fine-tune their teaching styles for the new generation of learners.
The 2014 ADEA/AAL ITL will be held at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta. Phase I is scheduled for August 14–16 and Phase II is on October 16–18. Discounts are available, and payment plans are available for those paying individually.
