ADEA and AAL present the ADEA/AAL Chairs and Academic Administrators Management Program (CAAMP), an interprofessional program that offers three days of leadership development and career guidance for new, current and future chairs, department heads, assistant and associate deans, and other academic managers. CAAMP Alumni describe the experience as “transformational” and “the best thing I’ve ever done for myself professionally and personally.” The next CAAMP is scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. July 17–19, in Atlanta.
During CAAMP, administrative leaders from across the health professions learn the tools for effective academic management, team performance and interpersonal relations. They also experience personal development through assessment tools, including 360-degree leadership feedback and conflict-resolution management styles, and one-on-one coaching with a CAAMP instructor. Details are available on the AAL website.
Group discounts are available for three or more faculty and for alumni of any AAL program: contact AAL Vice President George Weinstein for details at email@example.com or 404-350-2098.
