In less than one week, more than 2,000 attendees will converge in San Antonio, TX, for the 2014 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition! To prepare and navigate the conference, the following information will help you get the most out of your time.

San Antonio International Airport
The San Antonio International Airport is about 8 miles from the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. Once you land, proceed to the lower level of the terminal to reach the baggage claim and ground transportation.
There are a variety of ground transportation options between San Antonio International Airport and the downtown area.
Taxis are available at the lower level curbside, outside of baggage claim, at Terminal A and B. For assistance, please contact an Airport Ground Transportation employee. Fares to downtown San Antonio are about $25–$29 per taxi. Up to six passengers may share a cab, if both luggage and passengers fit safely.

GO Airport Shuttle is San Antonio’s official airport shuttle service. Shuttles depart every 15 minutes from 7:00 a.m.–1:30 a.m. daily to downtown hotels. Passengers may purchase tickets at the airport baggage claim area.

Attire for the 2014 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition is business casual. Feel free to wear comfortable slacks, polo shirts, sweaters, blazers, blouses and, most important, comfortable shoes!
Registration Information and Hours
All attendees must check-in at the registration area prior to attending any sessions. Registration will be located in the Parkview Terrace, Concourse Level of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Registration will be open during the following times:

At the registration counter, you will receive your badge, badge holder, event ticket(s), if any, and conference bag. Additional tickets may be available on-site. Please check at registration when you arrive to find out what availability remains for ticketed events.
Exhibit Hall Hours
The ADEA Exhibit Hall will be open to registered attendees on Sunday, March 16, from noon – 5:00 p.m. and Monday, March 17, from 9:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be served in the Exhibit Hall on Sunday and Monday. Don’t forget to save some time to visit more than 60 exhibitors with exciting offerings from corporate and educational exhibitors.
Individuals under the age of 18 are not allowed in the Exhibit Hall at any time. Anyone entering the Exhibit Hall must have an official conference badge.
Badges Are Required
Your 2014 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition badge is required for admission to all sessions and events. You should pick up your own badge and conference materials at registration so that ADEA can verify that you are a registered attendee. We appreciate your understanding of this policy.
A guest is a spouse, partner, friend, or an adult child (18 years and over) who is not in a dentistry-related occupation. Coworkers or associates in dental education may not use the guest registration category. The badge admits a guest to participate in non-ticketed social events and enter the Exhibit Hall only. At events that serve alcohol, no one under 21 years of age is permitted.
ADEA House of Delegates
All delegates may pick up their credentials at the ADEA House of Delegates Booth, located in the Parkview Terrace, Concourse Level of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Please be sure to pick up your registration materials first.
Transportation for each of the tours listed below will depart from the convention center. You may check the exact location and departure time at the ADEA Information Center located in the Parkview Terrace on the Concourse Level of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.
If you are interested in attending a tour, you may check availability with on-site registration staff.
If you have registered for a tour and decide not to attend, please contact the on-site registrar so the available seat may be offered to another attendee.

Please note: Any changes you make to your schedule in the planner will not be reflected in any schedule you may be creating in the mobile app, and vice versa. Educational sessions and workshops do not require tickets or reservations to attend.
Education Session Evaluations and Continuing Education Credits (CE)
The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) is an ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (CERP) Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association (ADA) to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP neither approves nor endorses individual courses or instructors. It also does not imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. ADEA designates individual educational sessions for various continuing education credits. Please refer to individual education session descriptions for detailed information.
Continuing education credits (CE) are earned by attending educational sessions in their entirety and by completing the evaluation process for those sessions. To evaluate an attended educational session and obtain a CE Verification Form, ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition registered attendees may visit www.adea.org/atadea14 and complete the online process. The deadline to complete the evaluation process and print a PDF of your CE Verification Form is Wednesday, April 30. CE Verification Forms cannot be reproduced by ADEA after the deadline.

Please note: Printers are not available at the CE/Session Evaluation kiosk. Attendees may view their CE Verification Form and print later at their convenience until April 30, 2014. The evaluation process is electronic only.
The ADEA Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (ADEA SoTLfest) related sessions examine how teaching is valued, assessed and rewarded, and how it contributes overall to the learning experience of students and educators. You can be recognized for your participation in the ADEA SoTLfest. To be eligible for an ADEA SoTLfest Certificate of Recognition, you must participate is a minimum of three ADEA SoTLfest designated sessions plus at least one ADEA Chair of the Board Symposia and complete the online evaluation process associated with those sessions.
All session seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please arrive early to guarantee seating. You must have a ticket to attend ticketed events.
Plenary Sessions and Speaker Book Signings
You won’t want to miss our riveting plenary speakers, Dr. David Eagleman; Van Jones, J.D.; Dr. Rishi Desai and Nina Godiwalla.
Copies of their books will be available for purchase immediately following the 2014 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition Plenary Sessions. They include Dr. David Eagleman’s Incognito: The Secret Lives of the Brain and Van Jones’s Rebuild the Dream. You may also purchase these books in advance online, or while copies last on-site in San Antonio. If you would like an autographed copy, join Dr. Eagleman and Mr. Jones for a book signing immediately following their respective Plenary Sessions.
