Planning for the 2011 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition program is well under way, and it promises to be exciting and informative for all. Meet up with ADEA March 12-16 in San Diego, California, to mark our 88th gathering of the dental education community.
The 2011 program will be based on the theme "Interprofessional Education: Teaching and Learning Together for Better Health." ADEA Annual Session Program Committee (ADEA ASPC) Chair Dr. John R. Gallo III says it's all about "the coming together of students and faculty with different knowledge and skills to increase the quality of patient health care."
There will be more opportunities than ever to network and collaborate with peers across the dental and health professions education. ADEA ASPC has reached out to other health professions educators to encourage them to present on topics related to oral health. Interprofessional education "helps create a mutual understanding and respect among the health community," said Dr. Gallo.
He also noted that the call for programs yielded an impressive number of reviewer applications, and that ADEA members are excited to provide their input and ensure all attendees have a rewarding experience.
ADEA will continue to provide 2011 program information in future issues of the BDE, in ADEA's Member News, and online at www.adea.org/2011annualsession.
