ADEA is pleased to announce that the new ADEA United States Interactive Legislative Tracking Map is now available to provide members access to the most up-to-date information on state legislation of interest to academic dentistry. ADEA Members can now view the current status of bills, including upcoming hearing dates, bill text and bill author/sponsor information. Information on the map is automatically updated daily.
With one click, deans, school administrators, faculty, staff and students now have ready access to legislative information that could impact them in their state. Users simply select a state within the interactive map to get a detailed listing of legislation of interest to academic dentistry in that geographic area, including the current status of the legislation and—if the legislation has become law—the effective date.
For those states that have not yet adjourned, bills still before the legislature will continue to be displayed, so that members can view upcoming hearing dates or floor action as scheduled. For those few states that did not pass any relevant legislation during the last legislative session state are shown as “inactive” on the map.
As new bills relevant to academic dentistry are introduced, they will be added to the map. The ADEA United States Interactive Legislative Tracking Map is intended to provide a comprehensive, nation-wide perspective on issues of interest to dental education, while also enabling ADEA members to quickly access legislation by geographic area of interest. Access the resource regularly to keep abreast of legislation of interest in your state by visiting www.adea.org/legislativemap.
