The ADEA/AAL Institute for Teaching and Learning (ADEA/AAL ITL) has earned the reputation as dental education’s most comprehensive teacher training program. Early-and mid-career faculty members have raved about their experiences:
“This program is a superb representation of what it means to be an ideal dental educator.”
- Gerald Davis II, D.D.S., Clinical Instructor, Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry
“As a new course director, this program gave me concrete information that I can implement in my course. Networking with other faculty members from around the world was as valuable as the program itself.”
- Patricia Meredith, D.D.S., M.S., Associate Professor, The University of Iowa, College of Dentistry
ADEA/AAL ITL participants learn the skills of a master teacher and earn 50 hours of continuing education credit across two phases. Alumni are eligible to earn a Dental Educator’s Certificate and then a Master’s Degree in Dental Education, both awarded by the University of the Pacific.
The 2013 ADEA/AAL ITL takes place at the Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta, GA. Phase I will occur on August 15-17 and Phase II on October 17-19. Discounts start at 10% off the $4,950 tuition for institutions that send two or more faculty to the program. The registration deadline is August 2.
