Each spring, the family at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry comes together for Bridge Builders, one of the most anticipated and festive events of the year. Bridge Builders celebrates cultural diversity at Pacific Dugoni and gives students, faculty, and staff a chance to share their cultures, backgrounds, and ethnicities with others.
This year more than 25 different themed tables were hosted at the Bridge Builders event on May 15. Volunteer participants prepared food, drinks, decorations and entertainment to represent their native countries, ethnicities, or regions. The event was organized by Dr. Jignesh I. Parmar, a member of the International Dental Studies Class of 2014 and the class’ American Student Dental Association (ASDA) representative.
Bridge Builders is sponsored by Pacific Dugoni’s ASDA Chapter and the Associated Student Body, and tables are funded in part by the school. Participants also generously donate their own funds and time to host tables.
