Many educators, administrators, and students in the dental education community have outstanding achievements or demonstrate exceptional commitment—they simply have not yet been recognized. How will that happen? As the saying goes, you can’t win if you don’t play. Academic dentistry as a whole won’t gain the broader benefits of your work if no one knows about it. So now is the time to nominate for recognition through ADEA’s programs. Self nominations are encouraged.

  • The ADEA Scholarships, Awards, and Fellowships program, offered in conjunction with ADEA's corporate partners, confers student scholarships, awards to educators, and funding opportunities for fellowships. ADEA Member Institutions are also eligible for significant monetary recognition for research and work with new procedures. For a complete list of all 2012 ADEA Awards, Fellowships, and Scholarships being offered, see last month’s article in the Bulletin of Dental Education Online. Be sure to check the requirements and deadlines for the award for which you are applying.

Remember, nomination is the key to being eligible for scholarships, monetary awards, fellowships, and commendation. All 2012 award recipients will be recognized during the 2012 ADEA Annual Session and Exhibition in Orlando, Florida, March 17-21, 2012.
