The Journal of Dental Education Online has a new look, courtesy of its upgrade to an XML-based platform by the journal’s online host, HighWire Press.
The new platform positions the JDE to take advantage of the latest publishing innovations—and those yet to come. For instance, XML-based content can easily appear on a variety of devices, such as the iPhone, the iPod, and Amazon’s Kindle. It is also easy to disseminate XML-based content through feeds, widgets, blogs, and networking sites.
If you haven’t visited www.jdentaled.org lately, now is the time to take a fresh look. Also, the JDE is currently conducting a reader survey to ensure its content meets the needs of academic dentistry today. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes of your time, and your input will be valuable. Help shape the future of the JDE by taking the survey, which will be open through September.
