Ms. Evelyn O. Lucas-Perry; Pamela J. Hughes, D.D.S.; and Michael A. Landers, D.D.S., M.A., were elected as Vice Presidents to the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Board of Directors at the 2011 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition in San Diego, California. They join Dr. Gerald N. Glickman, ADEA President-elect, as members to the ADEA Board of Directors for the upcoming year.
Ms. Lucas-Perry was reelected and will serve a second one-year term as ADEA Vice President for Students, Residents, and Fellows. She is currently in the final year of her self-initiated five-year D.D.S./M.P.H. program at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
Dr. Hughes was elected ADEA Vice President for Hospitals and Advanced Education Programs, which she will serve as for three years. She is currently Assistant Professor and Advanced Training Program Director in the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the Department of Developmental and Surgical Sciences at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She is an ADEA member since 2005, a 2008 alumna of the ADEA Leadership Institute (ADEA LI), and an American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Diplomate.
Dr. Landers was elected ADEA Vice President for Sections and will serve a three-year term. He is Associate Professor of Oral Diagnosis and Radiology at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. He has held multiple leadership positions in the ADEA Council of Sections since 2005. He has been a member of the ADEA House of Delegates since 2007 and is currently on the ADEA Annual Session Program Committee (ADEA ASPC), which evaluates and improves the Association’s Annual Session & Exhibition program format.
Dr. Gerald N. Glickman was elected as ADEA President-elect at the 2011 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition in San Diego, California. He is currently Professor and Chair of the Department of Endodontics and Director of Graduate Endodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry.
