A position as Chair of the Department of Periodontics at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry will be available Jan. 1, 2013. The Chair must have a strong background in clinical periodontics and dental education.

A position as Director of the Graduate Periodontics Program at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry will be available Jan. 1, 2013. The director must have a strong background in clinical periodontics and previous experience in dental education.

This is a full-time position and candidates must possess highly developed leadership capabilities. Responsibilities include supervision of six residents and six support staff. The director also organizes and schedules the graduate periodontics curriculum, provides lectures on various topics, and leads treatment planning seminars and literature reviews. In addition, the director is responsible for the management and budgetary activities of the program.

Qualifications require a DDS/DMD degree from an ADA accredited dental school, board certification in periodontics, and eligibility for licensure in Oklahoma.
