University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, Clinical or Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor, Prosthodontics and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry (UDMSD) invites applications for full-time faculty, tenure- or clinical-track position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in Prosthodontics, Department of Restorative Dentistry as well as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Responsibilities include clinical, preclinical and didactic instruction, clinical patient care, service, and independent or collaborative research activity (for tenure-track).  Teaching responsibilities include course directorship and instruction to pre-doctoral dental students. Opportunity for one day per week intramural/extramural private practice is available.

University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, Chair, Restorative Sciences, Position 00037173

University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full time, 100% FTE, benefit eligible position of Assistant/Associate Professor (Chair), Restorative Sciences. The Chair provides leadership in meeting UMKC School of Dentistry’s educational, research, patient care and service missions. The Restorative Sciences Department provides classroom and clinical instruction for pre-doctoral dental students in the areas of operative dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, esthetic dentistry and implants. The Chair will work collaboratively with the school’s advanced education and dental hygiene programs and other departments in a comprehensive care environment. The Chair will be expected to embrace a contemporary vision of practice and innovation, and to envision the future of dental practice.  

Qualified candidates should hold a DDS or DMD and preference will be given to candidates with Board certification in Prosthodontics or who have completed a General Practice Residency or Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate. Experience in educational innovation, use of technology in education and leadership is expected with preference given to those with previous leadership, teaching, and research experience. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. Opportunities for clinical practice may be available for the qualified candidate. University of Illinois at Chicago, Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, Restorative Dentistry – Advanced Operative/General Dentistry

The Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago under the leadership of Dr. Stephen Campbell is seeking applications for two full-time faculty positions (non-tenure track) beginning July 1, 2013 at the Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor levels.  Future tenure track options exist for qualified/successful candidates.  Responsibilities include preclinical and clinical instruction in all aspects of the restorative sciences.  Qualifications include a DDS/DMD degree, and advanced training in operative dentistry or general dentistry (board eligibility/certification desirable where appropriate, but not required).  Prior teaching experience is desirable.  Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Illinois.  Candidates with training and/or experience in research are preferred.
