is working in partnership with the Association of American Medical Colleges
(AAMC) on the fourth annual Integrating
Quality Meeting: Collaborating for Care to be held in Rosemont, Illinois
on June 7-8, 2012. Other partners in the development of this year’s
program include the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), the
American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM), the American
Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the Association of Schools of
Public Health (ASPH), and the Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA).
Wakefield, Ph.D., RN, Administrator of the Health Resources and Services
Administration (HRSA) will deliver the keynote address on Thursday, June 7. Dr.
Wakefield joined HRSA from the University of North Dakota (UND), where she was
associate dean for rural health at the School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Wakefield is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and was elected to
the Institute of Medicine (IOM). She served on the IOM committee that produced
the landmark reports To Err is Human and Crossing the Quality Chasm,
and co-chaired the IOM committee that produced the report Health Professions
