2016 Gies Awards for Vision, Innovation and Achievement
The William J. Gies Awards for Vision, Innovation and Achievement® (The Gies Awards) are the preeminent recognition of exceptional contributions to and in support of oral health and dental education. The Gies Awards are an annual program of the ADEAGies Foundation.
The 2016 Gies Awards will be presented on Monday, March 14 in conjunction with the
2016 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition in Denver, CO.
2016 Gies Awards Tickets:
Registration for the 2016 Gies Awards will open in late November. The $195 contribution to the ADEAGies Foundation (TIN: 13-6143845) is tax deductible to the extent permitted by the IRS. One Gies Awards ticket has an estimated fair market value of $180.
General admission tickets will be mailed Wednesday, February 24 (two weeks prior to the event). After that date, all general admission tickets will be held at Will Call to be picked up at the event.

INNOVATION: The creation, exchange, evolution and application of contemporary ideas into new value that helps drive the success of an organization, institution or enterprise, adding vitality to our profession or industry and advancing the goal of enhancing oral health and dental education.
ACHIEVEMENT: The accomplishment of worthy and socially commendable actions that make a substantial contribution to oral health and dental education.
ACADEMIC DENTAL INSTITUTION: An educational institution granting academic degrees or certification in any field of allied, predoctoral or advanced dental study.
DENTAL EDUCATOR: A teacher or administrator in any field of allied, predoctoral or advanced dental study.
PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PARTNER: A corporate, nonprofit or governmental entity with a dental, educational, public service or consumer mission working toward common goals in oral health or dental education.
