Thanks to the volunteers who assisted in peer review of submissions to the 2010 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition.

ADEA Mentor/Mentee Program

First-time attendee? Get the most out of your ADEA Annual Session experience by teaming up with a mentor - someone who knows the ropes and can help you navigate the meeting.

The ADEA Annual Session Mentor/Mentee Program is designed to bring together ADEA Annual Session veterans and first-time attendees. Experienced ADEA members and ADEA Annual Session veterans are encouraged to participate in the ADEA Annual Session Mentor/Mentee Program to help first-time attendees learn more about ADEA and the ADEA Annual Session, and begin networking with other members.

Mentors must have attended at least two ADEA Annual Sessions and have a significant knowledge of ADEA and great people skills. Mentors will be matched with participants prior to the meeting. When a match is made, ADEA will notify the mentor and mentee, providing contact information and suggested guidelines. To sign up to be a mentor or mentee, make your selection on your registration before the deadline. Questions? Please contact opd@adea.org.

A.S.A.P. Crew

Calling all members!  Take your involvement with ADEA to a new level at the 2010 ADEA Annual Session and Exhibition. There are volunteer opportunities that fit a wide variety of interests and time commitments. If you’d like to participate in this program, apply on or before December 18, 2009.

A.S.A.P. Crew members are volunteers who agree to work a minimum of five hours on site. They act as session presiders, registration staff, information desk staff, or ticket collectors. An A.S.A.P. Crew member must attend orientation on Saturday, February 27, 2010, from 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. at Washington National Gaylord Hotel; be present at all assigned stations at the designated time; and check in daily at the ADEA Annual Session Staff Office. All A.S.A.P. Crew members must be ADEA members. In return, a light breakfast and lunch are provided in the ADEA Annual Session Staff Office on each day of duty.

To sign up, make your selection during registration before the deadline. A volunteer time availability sheet will be provided to interested parties. For questions, contact Ms. Rhonda Buford, ADEA Meetings Manager, at bufordr@adea.org. Volunteers will be notified on or before January 8, 2010, by email.
